Problem:
Specturm
Laboratories had an antiquated intranet ordering system that interfaced
with a remote ecommerce website. In addition to being slow and un-optimized,
Spectrum's intranet did not track inventory or sales figures. This
intranet application was written in an old programming language,
making it very expensive to add any of these new features that Spectrum
desired.
Wholesale
orders were taken on paper, and required special training to take.
Only a small part of Spectrum's workforce could take these wholesale
orders because of these special training requirements.
Solution:

Solutions developed a new intranet system that was not only easy
for current staff to use, but fulfilled Spectrum's future growth
needs. All employees could take wholesale orders using this new
system. The new intranet system was accessible from any location
in the world. This allowed Spectrum's sales team to work effectively
with their shipping department, eliminating the need for multiple
phone calls and emails to place remote orders.
LCN
Solutions also improved the way Spectrum tracked sales of wholesale
and retail products. Not only could Spectrum tell how many products
were sold over the past month. Spectrum could compare with previous
months, previous years, and retail verses wholesale.
Inventory
control was drastically improved. No longer did Spectrum have to
worry about how many products it had in stock when a customer was
placing an order. Spectrum found itself making better decisions
when it came to ordering more inventories. This innovation will
save Spectrum a considerable amount in perishable product waste.
